Release 19.0 beta 1 (build 47277)

We are pleased to announce the availability of a new release of FS Protection for Mac. This update is available for download from My FS Protection and delivery to existing installations will be started shortly.

Highlights of this release:

• VPN with limited company internal participation.
• FATE support: the ability to turn product features on and off from the backend.

Known issues:

• Product uninstall on Ventura will kill network access. Please reboot after uninstall on Ventura.
• On-access scanner cannot be disabled from settings.
• VPN on Catalina may not work for all users.
• VPN settings are visible but not yet usable.

If you experience any issues, please run the "Support Tool" in the Applications -> "fs protection" folder and submit a bug report with the file created to allow us to investigate the issue. For issues related to Browsing protection and Parental control, remember to include any URLs that reproduce the problem in your bug report. You may also submit false positives and uncategorized web pages directly to F-Secure Labs using https://www.f-secure.com/en/web/labs_global/submit-a-sample#sample-url

Highlights of this release:

VPN stability improvements

• Crash fixes
• notification logic stabilised
• fixes for VPN settings controls
• product uninstallation should not cause the machine to lose network connection anymore
• VPN service login items are now displayed as coming from "fs protection" on macOS Ventura

Other changes:

• improved AV databases version reporting in UI

We are pleased to announce the availability of a new release of FS Protection for Mac. This update is available for download from My FS Protection and delivery to existing installations will be started shortly.

Highlights of this release:

• VPN stability and performance improvements
• VPN IKEv2 protocol support
• Fixes an issue where Security Cloud could malfunction after reboot or upgrade
• Improved anti-virus database update logic
• DeepGuard behaviour changed to not persist "deny" decision if it was due to user not responding in time
• Fixes a memory leak in DeepGuard (fscxfenced)
• General performance and stability improvements

⚠️ Change in supported macOS versions: starting with this release, macOS 10.15 Catalina is no longer supported and will not receive any further software updates. macOS 11, 12 and 13 are fully supported. All users are encouraged to upgrade to a supported macOS version to ensure they will keep receiving product updates.
