Should I be worried about this?

Hello, I had my Wallpaper Engine software running and it crashed. At the same time F-Secure gave me a notification about "trojan.tr/crypt.xpack.gen2" and put a file named "WER.37fcc384-ec24-47c7-d80c6c38694.tmp" into quarantine.

I checked that WER is Windows Error Reporting, could it be that F-Secure thought the Windows program was Trojan or had similarities with one? Or could it be that a wallpaper I downloaded from the software from Steam has virus in it?

The file was in AppData/Local/Temp

    Hi @Tiksu

Welcome to our Community page. Thank you for your post.

    To restore quarantined items please:

    1. Open F-secure SAFE/Internet Security
    2. Click Tools
    3. Select App and file control
    4. Click Quarantined
    5. Select the quarantined items that you want to restore.
    6. Click Allow
    7. Click Yes to confirm that you want to restore the quarantined item.

The selected item is automatically restored to its original location. Depending on the type of infection, the item may be excluded from future scans.

Note: To prevent it from happening again in the future, please inform our Labs about the blocked application.

You can also exclude files from being scanned when you are sure that the folder includes applications that are safe. To add files or folders that you want to exclude:

    1. Open the program
    2. Go to Viruses & Threats
    3. Select Settings
    4. Navigate to Virus Protection
    5. Click on View Quarantine
    6. Select the Excluded tab
    7. Click Add new
    8. Select the file or folder that you want to exclude
    9. Click OK

The selected files, drives, or folders are excluded from future scans.

Kindly let me know if this helps.

    Thank you and stay safe.
