Windows Defender turned off while installing the newest update

Hello! I was installing the newest F Secure SAFE update when windows defender turned off completely. Also when trying to turn it on again I got a pop-up saying something in the lines of "IT administrator has turned this feature". After the update finished installing I was able to turn it on again. Is this the tamper protection or am I witnessing a malware attack?

    This is likely due to an update that temporarily turned off the protection.

    Open the SAFE application, if it says you are protected no action is required.
