Why does my photos app on MacBook not update when FreeDome is turned on??
My photos app on my MacBook stopped working and quite by accident I realised that When I turn Freedome off my photos app will update but when it is on it won't ? It seems to interfere with websites that I know are safe, such as Argos, purchasing websites etc. and stops them from opening yet when I turn Freedome off, I can then access the website.

What do you mean exactly by:

Do you perhaps mean that the Photos app on your MacOS computer will not sync when a VPN is on?
Please check which macOS version you have installed. Apple has fixed the sync issue with VPN on Mojave and newer versions. In case you have older macOS version installed, we recommend updating the operating system to newer where the problem has been fixed.
