Query about Ring doorbell & VPN
Hi all,
I’ve been struggling with my Ring doorbell app constantly logging me out when I try to answer/view cameras. Ring tech support are suggesting it is my VPN causing the issue. Has anyone else encountered this behaviour? Or if not, anyone know of any workarounds? I don’t want to have to stop using the VPN when I’m away from home as that’s when I’m more likely to use public Wi-fi etc, but when I’m away is also when I need to use the Ring doorbell service!
I’ve searched the forums but found nothing. I can’t contact F-Secure help directly until Monday as they seem to be running a reduced service at the mo.
My device is the new iPhone SE but it did exactly the same thing with my old 6S.

Please reboot your device first, and then try switch different virtual location in your Freedome to see if that works.
If issue remain, these following basic troubleshoot steps should solve the issue.
- Uninstall both Ring Doorbell app and Freedome VPN
- Reboot device
- Re-Install back both Ring Doobell and Freedome VPN.
You will now monitor the situation, if the above steps not fixed, please open Freedome VPN>Settings> Enable " Keep VPN on when device is idle" and check again.
