How To Add A Website As A Trusted Site

Hi,

I was wondering why some sites require you to add them to the trusted sites section.

My site requires you to add them to the trusted sites section not just for https but non-SSL URL as well.

How can I have it to appear as safe in browsers? Is it possible to programmatically add the site to Trusted Sites list using any scripts?
