How safe is SAFE on a window 7 PC post 14th January 2020 also will safe from CVE-2020-0601

Hi have a few friends that have  Safe but not upgrade to 10 due to having legacy programs & equipment that won't work with Win10 has been tried should they using more than Safe on it own?

Also with  banking app cover the MS flaw that has aired its self today 

CVE-2020-0601 | Windows CryptoAPI Spoofing Vulnerability

or is windows  7 safe from  this ?

    Hi @Rhcomp 

     

    At the moment, we have detection coverage for the proof-of-concept files that are available. However there is still confirmation and investigation ongoing if we could cover the CVE properly with detection.

    The best advise from our virus lab is to get the Windows upgraded as Microsoft has already released the patch for this CVE-2020-0601.
