Repair virus infection files

Hello, why can't F-Secure repair infected files?
I remember that the previous version can repair macro viruses, Ramnit, Sality, Virut and other viruses. Are they deleted or isolated now?
Can you ask the original factory for this demand?

I really like F-Secure.

Sorry for my reply. I am only an F-Secure user (their home solutions). Just as a discussion between community users.

 

I think that if it is possible to perform "clean up" - then it is a default option. If it is not possible to clean up - then "quarantine" is a choice.

 

But, most likely, more often there are fully malicious items. Where clean up is only "delete it" (or quarantine).

There were changes with technologies and patterns of use - so - maybe design is changed. Does your ask is based on experience?

I mean - is it known information that current version can not 'repair' (cure / clean) item after being infected by classic kind of viruses?
