Sorry for my reply. I am only an F-Secure user (their home solutions).
So, your experience is about My F-Secure Account:
Where it is possible to use "Forgot your password?".
Then to type your email address and confirm it.
As a result, should be output something like:
Changing your password A message was sent to *******@********.com You will receive an email or text message shortly. If you do not receive the message, make sure that you entered the same contact information that you used during registration.
And after using received letter (actual changing password) - chosen password is not accepted?
OR your experience is about "logged" state and built-in to portal functionality for changing password? And password is not changed via these steps?

So, if on current time password is not accepted - maybe one option is try to use "the forget password".
All in all, good to check that input (password) is correct with your tries.
