The post by Matthias relates to the business version of F-Secure products. I am using Internet Security 2012 on Windows 7 (64-bit) and Browsing Protection is disabled in Firefox 12, although it works just fine on Firefox 11. According to the install.rdf file of the add-on it should be compatible with Firefox 12 but apparently it is not. I can enable the Browsing Protection add-on using a third-party add-on, however, there is still no Browsing Protection functionality whatsoever.

I have the Browsing Protection add-on 2.0.0 build 11514. According to Mozilla's Compatibility Reporter log, some users have reported similar problems. Is this again a generic problem as with Firefox 10 or is it something specific to my computer/OS?

Shouldn't this be automatically included in upodates when users have Firefox as their primary browser?

    Answer is YES (obviously)

So why the reliance on IE9 by Microsoft - theres supposed to be equal support according to the EU commisioners.

  • Hi,

Browsing Protection is fully supported for Firefox 11 and 12. When the next Firefox final  version is released, the ETA for the Browsing Protection to support is minimium 2 weeks.  You will receive the update for Browsing Protection automatically when the update are released.
