Try to upgrade Fs to 2012 from 2011 

 

Installion failed with 2 remarks On line Security and Computer Security   Anyaone has the same problem??

I just had mine installed without any problem. Try to run and install it in safe mode if it is possible and see how will it go.

Please ensure the following Windows Updates  below are installed :

Microsoft.Net FrameWork 4.0 : http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=17718

Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 : http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=5638  (32 bit) and http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=18471 (64 bit)

Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 : http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=5582 (32 bit) and http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=2092 ( 64 bit)

Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1  : http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=8328 (32 bit) and  http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=13523 (64 bit)

 

If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7 , please ensure that Base Filtering Engine service is running. Type "services.msc" under Search Programs and  Files

Hello!

 

The same problem occured when i tried to update  a Windows XP system from F-Secure 2011 to F-Secure 2012.

 

After reading this post i installed all the updates (  WI 4.5, Visual C++ 2005, 2008, 2010 SP1 ).

 

But doesn't fix the problem. 

 

Installation failed with 2 remarks On line Security and Computer Security. 

 

So i must return to F-Secure 2011.

 

This job took several hours and i am very unhappy now.

 

F-Secure 2011 installation was possible without any problems!
