After I run the vpn setup does the vpn configure itself or do I need to do something else? I am running Windows 10 on a wireless network.

Have you installed and activated Freedome on your Windows? If you have installed it, you can click on the 'Protection OFF' in the Freedome application to turn it ON. Once it is on, you are now connected to a virtual location.
