Freedome & pi-hole for ad-blocking

A few days ago, I implemented Pi-Hole on my home network to block all ads at the DNS level.

For the most part it's working well with ads banished for good.  However, for clients with Freedome installed, I have a dilemma.  My tests indicate that with Freedome connected, DNS requests go to the designated Freedome DNS servers rather than my local Pi-Hole and ads appear again.

This puts me in a quandary.  Do I turn off Freedome and lose the privacy & security that it offers but have an ad-free browsing experience - or enable Freedome and endure ads again?

Anyone else come across the same issue and found a solution?

cheers
