GRC Shields Up All Ports Scan Results
Hi,
I have run the Shields Up scan on a computer connected to two different networks (different ISPs, different locations). Both give the same results - port 443 is open, 70 ports are closed and the remainder are stealthed out of 1056 tested. This is pointed out by GRC as a vulnerability, in particular port 443.
Without Freedome, all 1056 ports are stealthed (ie no vulnerability).
Can somebody please shed light on what is going on here as there are some old posts that ask variants of this question and the responses are very cursory?
Thank you.

Hello fduser,
This is normal and nothing to worry about. You are not testing your own Freedome when you are doing the GRC test with Freedome turned on. Instead, you are running the test against our Freedome gateway server. The test will never reach your device at all, as Freedome server doesn’t pass any of those tests through to the user. The ports on our gateways are set open/closed/stealth (as reported by the GRC test) on purpose and by design.
