Trying to access Japan-only services

I try to watch Japanese TV shows at cu.ntv.co.jp, but I get a problem with the geographic location (which I have set to Tokyo).

 

I found 3-year-old messages about "IP geolocation problems" in Japan. Problem still not solved? Do I need to get another VPN for watching Japanese TV shows?

May I know if you were able to view the programs successfully before with Freedome on? Since when did you start seeing this issue happen?

 

Do you see any error message when you try to watch the programs with Freedome on?

I have not tried to use this page with Freedome on before. I have only used it locally in Japan without Freedome.

 

The error message that I get is this:

"This video is restricted from playing in your current geographic region"

"Error Code: PLAYER_ERR_GEO_RESTRICTED"

The Japanese TV site seems to be blocking access from Freedome IP addresses.
