How can I know that Freedom on my Mac is always on

I see a msg on my mac when wakening up saying that now Freedom is protecting....

 

Does it mean that it's not always on??

- when wakening up, so Mac has been sleeping = closed, logged out, no power, no connections, nothing
- I don't use Mac > I cannot know, how does it work in practice, but by looking at Freedome-app, you can see the state, whenever
- checking by this way: whatismyipaddress
> IP-address ought to be F-Secure's > Freedome is going on
- I have this understanding, that Freedome begins to work automatically, but how is it in Mac's settings? Is it too slow?
