Connection beacon in Mac OS menubar

At start-up, the Freedome icon usually flashes (animates) until connected. Then I get a notification that ”Freedome is now protecting and encrypting my data” and then the beacon icon stays lit.

 

But now after a short while, the beacon starts flashing again even though Freedome says I'm still connected. Internet connection is solid.

    Hi lghtstrm,

     

    May I know what is the version of Freedome installed and also the OS version of your Mac?

     

    Did you happen to notice it issue recently (like after an update)?

     

    Do you see if Freedome is reconnecting by opening it when the beacon flashes?

    Mac OS 10.13.2

    Freedome Version 2.12.5051.0

     

    Don't think it was the result of a recent upgrade.

     

    Doesn't connect by opening Freedome, I have to switch it off and then back on for it to connect.
