LAN scan on Android seems some not all devices with VPN enabled.

in F-Secure VPN

Using Wifi on Android 8.1 and Freedome app version 2.4.3.6800.

I do a Fing scan looking for other devices on the same SSID.

With the VPN off, Fing sees all the devices.

With the VPN on Fing, sees *some* devices but most are not detected.

 

Is this a bug or is it supposed to work this way?

The network is not a Trusted Wifi network.

I would prefer that with the VPN on,  a LAN scan sees no other devices.

 

 I have tested this two different Wifi networks and the results are the same. One network was open, the other was WPA2.

    Some explanations:
    FING SCAN= locate devices on your wireless network
    SSID= service set identifier
    Is it so Michael2, that all your devices are not under Freedome? > some seen, some not

    Yes, all the LAN devices were not connected to Freedome VPN.
