Issue:
I have a new email address, how to change a sub-user's email login name in My F-Secure?
Resolution:
A sub-user is not able change their My F-Secure account's login email address. If you have a new email address and want to use it to login to your My F-Secure sub-user account, follow these steps:
- Request the subscription owner to send you an invite to your new email address
- Log in to your new My F-Secure sub-user account from the invite
- Click +Add device
- Select My device
- Download the SAFE for Windows installation file
- Run the SAFE installation file and follow the on screen instructions
The installation will automatically remove the previous installation of F-Secure SAFE.
On a Mac computer, the previous installation must be manually removed before installing F-Secure SAFE again:
- Open Finder
- Go to Applications
- Open the F-Secure folder
- Run the Uninstall F-Secure SAFE application
- Once the uninstall is complete, run the F-Secure SAFE for Mac installation file and follow the on screen instructions
Once the installation is complete, the subscription owner can remove your previous sub-user account from the My F-Secure portal:
- Log in to the My F-Secure portal
- Click on the user you want to remove
- Click Remove from My F-Secure group
