Installing multiple F-Secure products on Windows or Mac F-Secure is currently moving towards a single-app model, where the subscription type determines the protection capabilities that are enabled for the user. The transition from old, separate applications to the new model has been causing problems for some Windows and Mac customers. These issues have resulted from trying to install multiple F-Secure-based product configurations on the same computer.
In the single-app model, it is not possible to install two F-Secure applications on a Windows or Mac computer, regardless of the product branding. We recommend that you select the offering from a single service provider. Both F-Secure and the majority of F-Secure's service provider partners offer the new F-Secure Total with the full set of protection capabilities, enabling you to select your preferred service provider.
Note: This limitation does not affect mobile platforms (Android and iOS).
If you have two licenses from two different service providers
As an example of this scenario, you may have acquired separate security, privacy, or identity protection services through your internet service provider, retail store, or F-Secure.
Recommended solution: Select protection from a single service provider. Most service providers offer F-Secure’s comprehensive protection.
If you have two licenses from F-Secure
These services could be any combination of F-Secure Total, Internet Security, ID Protection, and Freedome. All these capabilities are now accessible through the new single app.
Recommended solution: Contact F-Secure customer care. They can enable all your acquired features in a single application, and this does not require any additional installation. The features are automatically enabled and will appear in your application shortly after the change to your subscription.
