How can I find out what F-Secure product and version I am using? If you need to know the name and exact version of your F-Secure product, follow the steps provided in this article.
On Windows
There are two ways that you can access your F-Secure product on Windows.
- Select the F-Secure product icon from the task bar, or the notification area (also known as the system tray)—the notification area is located in the Windows taskbar with an arrow, which you click to open up.
- Right-click on the product icon, and select About. The About page opens up and the version information is displayed.
If the product icon is not in the task bar or notification area, open the product, then do the following:
- For F-Secure Total and Internet Security: On the main page of the product, select the question mark in the upper right corner, then select About.
- For F-Secure Freedome VPN: In the main menu, select Help > About Freedome.
- For F-Secure ID Protection: Enter your master password, then select Help > About > License information.
This opens up the version information and gives other details about the product.
On Mac
There are two ways that you can access your F-Secure product on a Mac.
- Select the F-Secure product icon in the menu bar that runs along the top of the screen.
A dropdown menu appears.
- Select About.
If the product icon is not in the menu bar at the top of the screen, open the product:
- For F-Secure Total and Internet Security: Select the question mark in the upper right hand corner of the product window, then select About.
- For F-Secure Freedome: In the main menu, select Help > About Freedome.
- For F-Secure ID Protection, enter your master password, then select Help > About > License information.
This opens up the version information and gives other details about the product.
On all mobile devices
- Open the F-Secure app.
- Depending on the F-Secure app you are using, do as follows:
- For F-Secure Total and Internet Security: from the profile icon located in the top-right corner, select About and help > About F-Secure.
- For F-Secure Freedome VPN: from the top-left menu, select About.
- For F-Secure ID Protection: from the top-left menu, select Help > About.
