Any ideas why updates are not installing on Windows 10,

Maybe possible to re-check that any other software do not able to block handling downloaded updates. Or try "restart" system and then check situation with some minutes (with enough time for potential re-stuck it);

Also, for example, re-check that another activities (like Windows Updates) do not able to perform overload for system;

F-Secure also provided kind of "tool" -> https://www.f-secure.com/en/web/labs_global/database-updates (as potential workaround-fix for stuck with updates); But probably it can be not valid for recent builds of F-Secure SAFE (?!);

Probably there can be kind of "local" temporary trouble. As example, "time-out" or so;

Since all of "Processing" switched to trouble state after Thirty Seconds;

Maybe if "Not done, will retry"-tip not work there -> direct F-Secure Support Channels (chat?!) most brief and valid step for investigation (I able to think about some of potential reasons - including external-based).

Same issue - clean installation of F-Secure did also not solve the problem

Here is checking list.
What might be reason: update failed.
I have read similar cases in Community forum.
- have you logged in with administrators rights?
- what about drivers?
- is it MS Defender? Is it possible to turn it off, while you do update?
- is it lack of diskspace?
- Look at Windows event logs, if there are error comments. Windows logs> programs
(Win7)
- any information about errors/reasons could help with solution

Sorry for my ask.

 

Did you mean that clean installation comes with stuck about "F-Secure Ultralight Updater Update" only? Or any other updates also with stuck?

 

Maybe it possible to try steps like this (if not work any other suggestions from topic):

--> Uninstall F-Secure by common steps (default for your system); And do restart system;

--> Try to use F-Secure Uninstallation Tool:

--> Then fresh try with clean installation.

yeap - clean installation stands for following the described process by f-secure, including running the un-installation tools as well and after new installation the "F-Secure Ultralight Updater Update" is stuck and after a couple of time the message appears your PC is not safe - please re-start your computer - and the game starts again.....

That 'F-Secure' do ask for restart can be normal (since 'one of modules' is not installed); Maybe possible to try do not restart as delay for some minutes/hours. Based on your replies -> sounds as something wrong with validation/processing such update.

 

If not possible to find any visible reasons like another security software, not common system settings... and good to re-check that indeed all updates is installed (and re-check system by Full Scan -> if possible to run F-Secure)... maybe good to create fsdiag and transfer it to F-Secure Support Channels directly:

At least, it should 'boost up' situation with proper investigation about direct reasons (and not only unofficial suggestions).
