No internet connection in SENSE Router's guest network after firmware update version 1.7.104.20 Symptoms
After the SENSE Router firmware update in version 1.7.104.20, the internet connection in the SENSE Router guest network stopped working.
Diagnosis
This issue is due to the recent enablement of the multicasting functionality in firmware version 1.7.104.20, which causes the guest network configuration to be overwritten by a new IP table rule.
Solution
- Guest network configuration needs to be re-applied.
- Refer to article Can I create a guest WiFi on F-Secure SENSE Router? and create the guest network as instructed in the article. However, you need to toggle the main guest network switch off and then on again. Note that the settings must be saved after each setting change.
