Setting up your Xiaomi device to work properly with the security app This article describes how to set up your Xiaomi device so that it works properly with the security app.
Due to the aggressive battery management of the Xiaomi operating system (MIUI), the device may shut down applications without user's consent. This leaves the device unprotected as the following features won't work: Anti-Virus, App control and Finder.
To prevent your Xiaomi device from switching off the security app, you need to enable the Autostart option for the app:
- Open system Settings and search for the security app.
- Swipe to turn on Autostart:

As Xiaomi prevents launching activities from the background, the security app needs specific permission from the Xiaomi device to be able to restrict the child's device usage and for the Finder alarm to work.
To allow the app to launch these operations in the background: - Open system Settings and search for the security app.
