Cannot login on Vista after updating F-Secure SAFE

After updating F-Secure SAFE today it is no longer possible to log in to Windows Vista on my Toshiba PC. When you enter your password a message is displayed saying something like: User Profile Service failed to log in. Cannot read User profile.

Then you are logged out and caught in an endless loop.

Any solution?

    Can you log in using safe mode?

    Do you have any other anti virus products on the machine, or have any been recently removed?
  • Thanks. Could log in using safe mode. Then modifying the registry fixed the problem. :)
