Does F-Secure have a way to check if a URL is okay? I looked around on F-Secure's website but I could find anything. This would not be for me because I use F-Secure, but it would be useful to tell others who are running another AV or none at all.

The old http://browsingprotection.f-secure.com/ is shut down.

But, F-Secure has a new great Google powered search with safety ratings. I'm not sure it's still in beta or not, but it works:

https://search.f-secure.com/

The best way to check if a URL is safe is to use the multi-engine VirusTotal:

https://www.virustotal.com/#url

I try to never use Google because of its total lack of privacy. But Virus Total looks to be a good resource. Thanks for the tip.

I guess I will just have to use it with Firefox and No Script to mitigate the damage.

I think VirusTotal requires javascript to work. But you could try a web proxy service perhaps, although some websites doesn't work with free proxies.

Search for Anonymous Web Proxy on the non-google options http://ddg.gg/ or https://www.startpage.com/ Smiley Wink
