No, you do not need to wait:
There's a new browsing protection release candidate available This release contains support for Firefox 6 (beta) The visible version string is "F-Secure Browsing Protection SW Update 2011-08-08_01" The update is distributed through the policy manager which has been configured as specified in the instruction page: http://www.f-secure.com/en_EMEA-Labs/beta-programs/business-users-beta/beta-update-channel/instructi... Manual installation packages for all current release candidates are available as follows: on windows: for 9-series in http://download.f-secure.com/latest/beta/fsdbupdate9.exe The executables are self-installing on a system with the appropriate F-secure client. These manual installation packages also contain other engines we currently have in a release candidate state, which are due to production later. For any feedback regarding the update or the beta program, please send them through [email protected] Thanks and Best Regards: F-Secure Labs
Best Regards!

Yes, It will be 2 Weeks after the release date of FF.
Any chance F-secure team could work closer with Mozilla and try to get compatible components for F-secure closer to the official FF release.
A release cadidate 10 days before Firefox RTM is still not good enough?
I would not like to sit on that chair, when FF changes something and BP breaks Firefox.

Acctually FF 6 is being pushed since the last evening.
Unless you meant 10 days after
Cheers
Andrzej

Does this also apply to Firefox 7.0 Beta 1, which was released yesterday (August 17th)?

Shaw Secure updated to the files below, are these the latest, as they are not compatible with Firefox 6.0.1., which was released last Friday:
F-Secure Browsing Protection/SW 1.10 build 5322
F-Secure Browsing Protection/ES 0.70 build 530
Nope,
F-Secure Browsing Protection/SW 1.10 build 5627
F-Secure Browsing Protection/ES 1.10 build 1039

Hi Matthias,
There seems to be a problem with my program, as it does not automatically update these.
Is there some way that I can manually updates them to Shaw Secure?
sure, manual update:
http://download.f-secure.com/latest/fsdbupdate9.exe
from
http://www.f-secure.com/en_EMEA-Labs/security-threats/tools/definition-databases
BR
Hi Mathias,
Since automatic updating still does not work, I'm still downloading and running fsdupdate9.exe on a daily basis, but it does not update the browsing protection tool bar.
However it does update: Virus and Spyware defintions, Hydra, Aquarius and DeepGuard etc. OK.
Hi,
unless you want to wait for monday to have the experts answer this you can try the beta fsdbupdate9.exe
not 100% sure if the main one contains the files as your system is still outdated.
BR
Hi Matthias,
Sure, I can wait 'till Monday for this, hopefully it will be straightened out by then.
Hi Handries,
With regards to automatic updates not working, did you already try fsaua-reset?
Hi Peter,
Yes, I tried it previously, and at your suggestion tried it again today, but to no avail as it does not do the trick.
Afterwards I downloaded and ran: fsdbupdate9.exe but F.F. 6.0.1 browsing protection has not been updated as yet, and is still not compatible for this new version of the browser. All the virus and other updates installed normally though.
BP for FF7(beta) available:

Looks to me it is time to start new thread for FF7
already did... see my previous post!
Hi Matthias,
Just now I downloaded and ran the latest beta fsdbupdate9 as you suggested, but it did not install the latest browser protection updates for Firefox 6.0.1.
The rest of the daily updates however installed correctly.
Sorry, I am out of options. let see waht peter comes up with.
Hi,
There is a new FF update. Current version is 6.0.2. BP works as well. Just tested. Is reinstallation of F-Secure an option for you? Or have you tried that as well?
Installed that new F.F. 6.0.2 update as well, but BP still does not work for me.
