"Does F-Secure Total block the Windows 11 December 2025 update (2025-12 security update, KB5072033)?

I have already tried every possible fix except for uninstalling F-Secure. Someone on an internet forum suggested that F-Secure is blocking this Windows update.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

    F-Secure Total does not intentionally block Windows updates, including the Windows 11 December 2025 security update (KB5072033). We’re aware that KB5072033 has caused installation issues on some Windows 11 systems, even on devices without third-party security software. In most cases, the root cause is related to Windows Update components or the update package itself rather than F-Secure.

    Before uninstalling F-Secure, we recommend trying the following:

    • Ensure F-Secure Total is fully up to date
    • Temporarily disable real-time scanning and retry the update
    • Run the Windows Update Troubleshooter
    • Try installing the update manually from the Microsoft Update Catalog

    If the update succeeds only after uninstalling F-Secure, please contact our support team directly : https://www.f-secure.com/en/support with the update error code so we can investigate a possible compatibility issue further.
