Antivirus Database fails to update.

How can I fix this problem, it says update successful with todays date and time but underneath it says update failed. Very frustrating to keep getting this message saying CRITICAL update required. Can you tell me how to fix the issue please?

    Most often, they suggest trying to completely reinstall the product. And if that doesn't help, then contact technical support (https://www.f-secure.com/en/support) so that they can collect logs and analyze them.

    However, can you add some points about your situation:

    • is it Windows system? Which one?
    • I would think that with such a downtime in receiving database updates - Microsoft Defender should already be active on the system? Is it so?
    • do you have any software or device that can filter network connections and if so, is it possible to make exceptions to it? In case, if some "rules" prevent you from receiving updates from F-Secure.
    • can you try to use another 'network'? like does the problem occur with any network connection (such as from your internet service provider or via a mobile cellular hotspot?)
