    Just to add to @Firmy's above reply, I would suggest you upgrade your router to one that is receiving current firmware and security updates.

     What does this mean?

    This means that after the end-of-life date, all security features in the F-Secure SENSE Router will be switched off. The device will continue to work as a normal router, although we recommend that you replace it with a newer router model.

    Hello,
    I recently reset my SENSE router and noticed that the setup is stuck requesting one update. First message is “SENSE needs to update its software” followed by “Could not update SENSE. The connection to the Internet may have been lost.”

    I conected the router to PPPoE, wifi, cable (GDCP) but no luck, still requires the update. The display shows an exclamation mark, but the app the iPhone is not passing the update step.

    Is there any possibility to bypass the update and continue with the setup, even if the security features will be off.

    The router worked just fine till 3 days ago when i hade to reset it.

    hi dragos_2p did you get any answer? I do have the same issue after reseting, knowing the support ended in 2024, but I still hope there is possibility to reconnect my sense

    Unfortunately, no, I haven’t found any resolution for this problem. I only managed to make the router work, but without management, just the default configuration, and that’s it.
