Hello @valm
For now, our community is only supported English and Finnish.
Regarding to your question, we have not receive any report of issue accessing RTS Play or M6+ when connected to Belgium server. I have also tested from my end as well, there is no issue.
However, if you are experiencing this issue, we would be happy to check it for you.
Thank you.

Try this:
"Here’s a step-by-step guide in English for using F-Secure Total VPN to access RTS Play and M6+ from Belgium:
🔧 Step 1: Open F-Secure Total
- Launch the F-Secure Total app on your computer or phone.
- Go to the VPN (Privacy VPN /) section.
🔧 Step 2: Choose the Right Country Server
- For RTS Play → Select a Swiss server.
- For M6+ → Select a French server.
- (Do not use a Belgian server; it won’t unlock the geo-restricted content.)
🔧 Step 3: Connect the VPN
- Click Connect.
- Wait until the VPN shows you are connected to the chosen server.
🔧 Step 4: Clear Cookies / Cache (important!)
Many streaming sites detect your location from old data in your browser.
- On desktop: open your browser, clear cookies & cache.
- Or use Incognito / Private mode.
- On mobile: you can also try the official apps (RTS Play app, M6+ app) with VPN active.
🔧 Step 5: Access the Streaming Site
- Go to RTS Play while connected to Switzerland.
- Go to M6+ while connected to France.
- Log in if required (M6+ usually asks you to create a free account).
⚠️ If It Still Doesn’t Work
- Try switching to another server in the same country (if available).
- Restart the VPN and browser.
- On mobile, disable GPS location if it conflicts with the VPN."

What is your platform(Win,Mac,Android,iOS) and f-secure version and have you tried connecting without VPN gw .You Can also check the allowance direct from RTS Play customer service.. The stream service is intended for French-speaking countries like Belgium. When you connect to Swiss VPN gw you can check your IP-address using https://whatismyipaddress.com/ and then ask the RTS Play customer service if they are blocking that swiss-address anyway.
🔒 Why RTS Play blocks VPNs
- Licensing restrictions: RTS only owns rights to show much of its content inside Switzerland. If someone connects from Belgium, France, etc., RTS must legally block it.
- Known VPN IP ranges: Large VPN services (like F-Secure, NordVPN, ExpressVPN…) operate with publicly visible server IP addresses. Streaming providers (RTS, Netflix, BBC iPlayer, etc.) maintain blacklists of these addresses.

btw. what is is AA,hardly ?
"AA" can mean different things depending on context. Some common meanings are:
- Alcoholics Anonymous — a worldwide fellowship that helps people recover from alcoholism.
- Amino Acid — building blocks of proteins in biology and chemistry.
- Anti-Aircraft — referring to weapons or defenses against aircraft.
- AA Battery — a standard size of cylindrical dry cell battery.
- Associate of Arts — a type of undergraduate academic degree.
- Auto-Attendant — a phone system feature that answers and routes calls.
- Authentication & Authorization — common in computing/security contexts.

Got it — thanks for explaining what happens.
What you’re seeing is actually quite common: many European broadcasters (RTS, M6, TF1, etc.) actively block known VPN server IP addresses. So even if you select Switzerland or France in your VPN app, their streaming service may recognize the connection as a VPN and either:Never start playback (as with RTS), or
Show a “wrong geolocation” error (as with M6+).
Here are some things you can try:
- Test if the VPN IP really looks Swiss/French
While connected to your VPN, visit https://www.whatismyip.com
or https://ipleak.net
.Check that your IP and DNS are shown as being in Switzerland (for RTS) or France (for M6).
If it shows another country, the VPN location may not be working as expected.
If it does show the right country but the app still blocks you, then they’re detecting VPN use.
- Switch VPN servers or protocols
Try another Swiss server for RTS or another French server for M6+.
Some VPN apps have “Streaming” or “Optimized for France/Switzerland” servers — those often work better.
Change the protocol (IKEv2, OpenVPN UDP/TCP, WireGuard, etc.) — sometimes one protocol avoids detection better.
- Use browser instead of the app
Some broadcasters are stricter in their mobile/TV apps than in the web browser version.
Try opening RTS or M6+ directly in Chrome/Firefox desktop browser while connected to the VPN.
-
Summary of the problem:
- When selecting a Swiss server for RTS Play, the app opens but the video never starts playing.
- When selecting a French server for M6+, it shows an error saying “not available in your country.”
- When checking the IP address on whatismyip.com, the supposed “Swiss server” actually shows up as Brussels (Belgium).
- Changing the VPN protocol (F-Secure offers 3 options) did not help.
🔑 What this means:
- The VPN IP is not really in Switzerland/France, but is routed through Belgium → that’s why the geoblock still applies.
- RTS and M6 detect VPN traffic and block it, even if the IP shows the right country. Many broadcasters keep blacklists of known VPN IP addresses.
- F-Secure VPN currently does not work for watching these channels from Belgium.

Hello,
I tried with Windows device and browser. With Brussels, Belgium (VPN spot).
M6.fr (not sure if this is m6+) does not really block access or something, but it will require an account to access any content; or just anything I've tried. If so, could it be that mentioned "incorrect geolocation" is just a tweak in your account profile? For example, if you can set your location in your account setting.
With RTS Play, it says Swiss IP is needed. So, with Zurich, Switzerland (VPN spot) - I can watch randomly chosen videos, For instance, 'replay' of FC Copenhagen vs FC Basel. You said there was a specific video that was problematic?
As I understand it, you use these (TV) via apps. Presumably on an Android or iOS device? They surely have more control over your access through apps.
Thanks!
