    Hello,

    Hydra

    Was there any workload?

I mean, VPN process (probably) should take CPU resources for managing traffic like encryption, compressing and so on.

I didn't monitor the numbers (as such) constantly, but what were your values, for example, when using it? Before it got stuck(?) at 22%? I think that in the short term, the increase in resource usage and depending on the current load can be predictable.

I do see some troubles in your use cases, but they are mostly just happened at once rather than based on 'one change'. For example, mentioned difference with chosen location and assigned IP; it was sometimes with Freedome as well. From case to case. and with specific servers. Sometimes the server was simply determined due to a different DNS IP or IPv6 or some other reasons to determine the location differently than node assumed.

    Thank you for your reply.

Only the Opera browser and one gmail session was open i. e no other program or workload that I ran. And this 22-23% appears stays for a while and goes and come and go again. It is not constant. When closing Opera it does not appear. Opening Opera and Gmail again in Opera it reappeared. The normal Hydra values before running like this 22-23% was like 1-4 % I would estimate. Perhaps autoupdate of Opera made this happen but I know and it didnt appear when I was able to use other protocols especially Wireguard worked well until for some reason it stopped. Perhaps compatibility problems with the ESET as I couldnt stay with F-Secure I had to fins something else. And Yes very much trouble appeared last 6 month or so and clearly related to updates of a for many years very well working product. F-secure is now not anymore the smooth reliable product I have been happy with using for many many years. Surely there were changes made to it before but it was well tested before release. I am very much against being forced to leave or forced to test thi and that that should have been tested before an unstable public release was released. The trouble with the antivirus and performance was no doubt related to update of the softwre - as the problems appeared minutes after the release update. Why Portugal is now given an Italy IP may not be a release problem but someone made changes to something that earlier always worked for us.
I dont think I demand to much when I just want to have a working product just as it used to be and has not ben the last half year or so. I've spent so many hours on something that F-secure is responsible for and appeared simultously in our computers that we hadent made changes to. Well, except for we had to install ESET as F-Secure made itself such a problem to us.
