Could you please confirm if this is the RSITV you are referring to? https://www.rsi.ch/play/tv

We have tested the connection by connecting to Zurich, Switzerland, and accessing the site, but we were unable to reproduce the issue. To better assist you, could you provide the following details?

• The specific URL you are unable to access when connected to the VPN
• The device you are using (Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS) and its OS version
• The exact error message you are receiving
• Whether the issue occurs only when connected to the Switzerland location
• If you have tested another VPN location and protocol

In the meantime, we recommend trying a different VPN protocol to see if that resolves the issue.

Sorry to hear you have been experiencing problems. We are working on a major update that will improve both the user experience and the technical capabilities of the VPN. We expect this to respond to the situation you have experienced. As an example of the new technical capabilities, the VPN will support new VPN protocols like the WireGuard. The updated VPN will be rolled out to all users of F-Secure's VPN from March 2025 onwards.

Could you confirm whether RSI Play is only blocked on your Android TV, or are you experiencing the same issue on other devices as well? Additionally, could you share the VPN app version you are using? Are you using Freedome VPN or F-Secure VPN?

For your information, F-Secure VPN is not officially supported on Android TV. However, there is a feature request for this functionality. If you’re interested, you can cast your vote here: can you please make the F-Secure TOTAL work on android tv thank you

We have tested this on our end, but we were unable to reproduce the issue. To assist you better, could you provide more details, such as:

• Your iOS version
• Your F-Secure app version
• The VPN location you are connected to
• Whether you are accessing through an app or a browser
• If you have tested the service on a different browser
• The VPN protocol you are using

We understand that F-Secure VPN’s Switzerland location is not working for RSI TV due to geolocation restrictions, while other VPNs appear to work fine. We'd like to investigate this further.

Could you please provide the following details? Which version of F-Secure VPN are you using? Does the issue occur in both the app and browser (to rule out app-specific blocking)? Have you tried switching VPN protocols in the settings?

Additionally, we want to share some updates regarding VPN access to streaming services:

• Austrian national TV ORF has started blocking F-Secure VPN for at least F1 and football streams, displaying the message:
  "Dieses Video darf aus rechtlichen Gründen nur in Österreich wiedergegeben werden" (This video can only be watched in Austria).
• Swiss national TV SRF is also blocking F-Secure VPN’s Swiss location. When accessed through this location, the message "Der Inhalt kann nicht abgespielt werden" (The content cannot be played) is shown.

We are actively working on a major update to enhance both the user experience and technical capabilities of the VPN. This update is expected to address the issue you’re experiencing. The rollout for all F-Secure VPN users is planned from March 2025 onwards.
