Hello @Simonder @Ullagbg_123
Thank you for your comment.
Sorry to hear you have been experiencing problems. We are working on a major update that will improve both the user experience and the technical capabilities of the VPN. We expect this to respond to the situation you have experienced. As an example of the new technical capabilities, the VPN will support new VPN protocols like the WireGuard. The updated VPN will be rolled out to all users of F-Secure's VPN from March 2025 onwards.
A few suggestions that you may try is to change the location to Sweden to access SVTPlay and Italy to access RaiPlay. However, we are not able to guarantee it. It could be that they blocked our IP addresses, but it is worth a try.
Thank you and have a lovely day.

Hello @Ullagbg_123 ,
thank you for reaching out to us via the F-Secure Community Portal.
Upon reviewing your subscription, I noticed that you are currently using the older version of F-Secure Freedome on your device. Please be advised that the standalone F-Secure Freedome app has been discontinued, and the VPN functionality is now integrated within the new F-Secure app.
To ensure uninterrupted service, we kindly recommend reinstalling the program by downloading the latest F-Secure app from your account. Please note that the new F-Secure app is only compatible if there is no third-party antivirus software installed on your device. To proceed with the installation, follow these steps:
Log in to your F-Secure account.
Click on Add Device > My Device > Download for Windows.
Install the new F-Secure app, which includes the Privacy VPN feature.
Once installed, check the VPN connection within the new app.If you continue to experience issues with streaming activation, please be aware that some streaming platforms may block VPN connections due to local content licensing agreements. Unfortunately, we are unable to override these restrictions if a content provider has chosen to enforce them.
Should you need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Best regards. -
Hi.
I'm having the same problem. I reinstalled the software and it only said that it is already installed. I purchased the total version a couple of weeks ago and started using VPN for SVTPlay and RAIPlay. Both were working ok. A couple of day ago the connections started to fail with the same error mentioned above. I use connections from Finland.
Best regards.
Simonder
