Battery drain issue

F-secure Total still starts draining the battery once a month. (50-90%) Uninstall and reinstall used to help, but not anymore, straight back to 44%… This has been going on for months now.

    Hello @JockeM

    Thank you for your comment.

Could you please let us know which iOS version and F-Secure version you are using? We have addressed this in our version 25.1, so please ensure that your app is updated to the latest version.

To clarify the battery usage concern, the Safe WiFi feature keeps the app running in the background and performs periodic security checks. While this ensures a secure connection, it also means the app remains active even when not in direct use.

Regarding the 49% battery usage shown in your settings, this does not mean the app has consumed 49% of your total battery capacity. Instead, it indicates that the app accounted for 49% of the total battery power used during that period.

For example, if your phone used 10% of its total battery over a certain time, and the app contributed 49% of that 10%, then the actual battery drain caused by the app is 4.9% of your total battery—not 49%.

If you have any further questions or need assistance, please feel free to reach out.

Thank you, and have a wonderful day.
