Why is this page blank when Banking Protection is enabled?

Windows 10, F-secure Safe 17.7.

Navigate to the page https://www.klp.no/logg-inn and then click the button "Logg inn på MinSide" (Norwegian only). With banking protection enabled the page will be blank, not possible to login. If disabling Banking Protection it works just fine.

I have not been able to find any messages/events explaining why the page is blank, neither did reading https://community.f-secure.com/discussion/77887/what-is-banking-protection-and-how-does-it-work provide me with any insight in this particular issue.

    Hello,

    With my experience - I do able to reach (redirect-URL under MinSide button) that is blocked by F-Secure with the reason that "Page is blocked since of active banking session". This is functionality where some connections / domains / pages are restricted and not allowed during banking session by default.

    So, if I tried to use "Logg inn på MinSide" button as open it in a fresh window - page is blocked (www.klp.no/minside). If in current - there was idle/loading. Maybe with some browsers or situations can be blank page. Since situation is a bit unexpected and strange. However, I am not sure and maybe your experience is about something else.

    Workarounds are:

    • to allow website manually (if there is visible blockpage with such a description). Locally.
    • to transfer URL to F-Secure Labs via their F-Secure SAS page

    With next steps:

    choose checkbox "I want to give more details about this sample and to be notified of the analysis results"

    then fill required fields, choose URL type as "Banking related trouble" and Problem type as "Site should be allowed during banking session".

    then provide some comments and description about.

    Maybe it can be helpful globally.
