Hello,

 

I am getting a new device soon.

I want to transfer the licence from my current (old) device to the new one.

Can someone please help me in doing so?

    It's all done via your SAFE Portal.  When you log in you can add a device or remove a device from the portal.  If you have a licence for multiple devices then you just add your new device and it's quite straightforward.  If you don't have any device slots left on your licence, then when you add the new device it should ask you whether you want to reuse an inactive licence, then it should take the licence from the device you have uninstalled / removed.

    Hi, Thanks for the reply. I see a Release licence option. Is that what I need to do first and then 'Add new device'? Thanks.

    Yes, I think you can do it that way, but I'm not sure if you need to uninstall the product from the old device first. I wouldn't think though, that it made much difference which way round you do it, other than you obviously don't want to leave the old device unprotected for too long.
