Issue:
I have added my device with the default name and now I don't know which one to release in the My F-Secure portal since several devices have the same device name.
Resolution:
For computers:
The default name is usually taken from your Computer's PC name. This is a guide to find out your PC name.

For phones:
The default name is usually taken from the brand and model name.
If you have several devices in the My F-Secure portal with the same device name, you can use the installation date and time to find out which one to release. Click on the device in the portal and you will be shown the installation time.
If the SAFE application, from which you want to release a license from, is still installed and accessible, you can also do the following:
- Open the F-Secure SAFE user interface
- Click on the Protecting <username> found in the top right-hand corner
- Choose Log out
Once you have logged out from the SAFE application, the application will upstream the information to the My F-Secure portal. The device will then appear in the My F-Secure portal with a grey color and an exclamation mark (remember to refresh the My F-Secure web page). This way you can be sure you are releasing the license from the computer which was just logged out.
For F-Secure FREEDOME licenses in your F-Secure TOTAL subscription, there is for now unfortunately no other way to find out than to release the license of one device, and see which device loses its license. You can then of course re-activate the license if it happens to be the wrong device you released the license from.
