Issue:
I have the F-Secure Total package and I want to take Password Vault into use on my devices.
Resolution:
Password Vault is integrated into the new F-Secure Total application. You may install the F-Secure Total on mobile and desktop devices through My F-Secure with your account details.
Note: If you already have F-Secure KEY in use on that device (e.g. Mac computer), your passwords in KEY can be transferred to Password Vault. Make sure that you have linked your KEY app to your Total subscription.
To link your KEY to Total, follow these steps below:
- Open F-Secure KEY
- Select Subscription (on mobile press first the Menu button)
- Choose Select a Provider
- Select F-Secure
- Sign in using My F-Secure account details
Once you have linked KEY to your F-Secure Total subscription, you can start by moving the Password Vault to the new F-Secure Total on your desktop first by following the steps below:
- Install F-Secure Total as guided here.
- Open F-Secure Total.
- Select "Get started' under Password Vault.
- Click Get started.
- Select Connect devices.
- Open F-Secure KEY and go to Connect devices.
- Type in the code generated in F-Secure KEY into F-Secure Total and click "Connect devices".
- Enter the Master Password from F-Secure KEY.
- You will see "Your devices are now connected!" and click on OK.
Follow the steps below to take into use Password Vault from F-Secure Total into use on your mobile device and connect devices:
- Install F-Secure Total from the respective App store: Google Play Store or App Store
- Select Password Vault.
- Click on "I'm an existing user".
- Now on your desktop, open F-Secure Total.
- Select Password Vault.
- Enter the Master Password.
- On the left panel in the menu, select Connect devices.
- Go back to F-Secure Total on your mobile and enter the sync code from the desktop. Click Connect.
- When prompted, enter the master password from your desktop, and select Confirm.
- Uninstall KEY from your devices.
