<main> <article class="userContent"> <p> </p> My F-Secure account required for F-Secure FREEDOME VPN subscriptions <p>F-Secure requires a My F-Secure account for all standalone FREEDOME VPN subscriptions. </p> <p><strong>Note:</strong> This article does not apply to you if you have bought your FREEDOME VPN from App Store or Google Play Store. </p> <div><strong>This article provides answers to the following questions:</strong> <ul><li>Why do I need to create a My F-Secure account? </li> <li>When will this happen? </li> <li>What happens to my anonymity if I have to create an account? </li> <li>What if I still have a valid subscription code? </li> <li>I have F-Secure SAFE or ID PROTECTION and a subscription code for FREEDOME VPN that I want to take into use. What do I need to do? </li> <li>How do I renew FREEDOME VPN? </li> <li>What is My F-Secure? </li> </ul></div> <p>Next time when you renew your F-Secure FREEDOME VPN subscription, you will be guided to the <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.f-secure.com/en/home/login">My F-Secure</a> page where you must create your account to be able to start using FREEDOME VPN. You are required to fill in your name, email address and password. </p> <p><strong>Important:</strong> If you already have a My F-Secure account with <strong>no valid</strong> product subscription, you must first <a rel="nofollow" href="https://help.f-secure.com/product.html#home/total/latest/en/task_62B0BC649449495FB3E6E9D22131D79D-total-latest-en">delete the existing account</a> and then create a new account for FREEDOME VPN. The reason for this is that we use your email address as the username for the account, and you cannot use the same email address for the new account unless you delete the old account. It only takes a moment to sign up, and you will have all your security information in one easy-to-use portal. </p> <p>Many of us have more than one device and making sure that all of them are protected at all times can be quite challenging. We don't read your traffic, nor do we know what traffic is yours. We don't share nor sell any of your traffic. </p> <p> We respect your privacy and only process personal data needed to provide our services and to communicate with you. We don't share your My F-Secure account information with third parties. </p> <p> The information you enter to purchase FREEDOME VPN, such as payment card details, is handled by the online store or app store provider. If you wish, you can immediately create a My F-Secure account and then convert the subscription code into usage time. </p> <p>However, if you have a subscription code and want to use FREEDOME VPN on a <strong>new device</strong>, you must create the My F-Secure account immediately and then log in to your account to convert the subscription code into usage time. </p> <div><strong>To convert the subscription code into usage time</strong>: <ol><li>Create a <a rel="nofollow" href="https://my.f-secure.com/register/freedome-default/">My F-Secure</a> account. </li> <li>When prompted, enter your subscription code. </li> <li>Open the FREEDOME VPN app. </li> <li>Select <strong>Subscription</strong> > <strong>Log in</strong>. </li> <li>Enter your account credentials. </li> <li>Repeat steps 3-5 on each device having the FREEDOME VPN app. </li> </ol></div> <h3 data-id="i-have-f-secure-safe-or-id-protection-and-a-subscription-code-for-freedome-vpn-that-i-want-to-take-into-use-what-do-i-need-to-do">I have F-Secure SAFE or ID PROTECTION and a subscription code for FREEDOME VPN that I want to take into use. What do I need to do?</h3> <p>If you are already using F-Secure SAFE or ID PROTECTION and have a subscription code for FREEDOME VPN, your subscription will be automatically upgraded to F-Secure TOTAL when you take FREEDOME VPN into use. </p> <p>F-Secure TOTAL is a full online protection package that includes F-Secure SAFE internet security, F-Secure ID PROTECTION to keep your passwords and online identity safe and F-Secure FREEDOME VPN to protect your privacy online. </p> <div>To get the F-Secure TOTAL upgrade: <ol><li>Log in to <a rel="nofollow" href="https://my.f-secure.com/login?next=/portal/coupon/renew">My F-Secure</a>. </li> <li>Enter the subscription code that you received when you purchased FREEDOME VPN. </li> </ol></div> <p>If you have a valid F-Secure SAFE or ID PROTECTION subscription, your subscription is automatically upgraded to cover all F-Secure TOTAL components. The time from the FREEDOME VPN subscription is added to your subscription. </p> <h3 data-id="how-do-i-renew-freedome-vpn">How do I renew FREEDOME VPN?</h3> <p>If you already have a My F-Secure account, log in to the account, select <strong>Renew now</strong> and follow the on-screen instructions. </p> <p>If you don't have a My F-Secure account yet, follow the notifications in the app to renew FREEDOME VPN or go to the <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.f-secure.com/en/home/products/freedome/renew">FREEDOME VPN renewal page</a> on our website. During the renewal flow, you will be guided to create your My F-Secure account. </p> <div>If you have a valid subscription code and don't have a My F-Secure account yet, create the account, log in to the account and enter your subscription code to activate your licenses. Your devices with already-installed FREEDOME VPN will become visible in the My F-Secure portal after you log in to your account on each device having the FREEDOME VPN app: <ol><li>Open the FREEDOME VPN app. </li> <li>Select <strong>Subscription</strong> > <strong>Log in</strong>. </li> <li>Enter your account credentials. </li> </ol></div> <p><strong>Note:</strong> If you have not completed the above steps, as soon as your subscription expires, your devices will no longer be protected until you log in to your My F-Secure account via the FREEDOME VPN app on each device. </p> <h3 data-id="what-is-my-f-secure">What is My F-Secure?</h3> <p>My F-Secure is the home of your protection. It is the management portal for all the devices that are protected with your subscription. Apart from managing your FREEDOME VPN product, all subscription-related information is available in the portal. </p> <p>The portal shows when your subscription expires and how many free licenses you have left. If your subscription is about to end or you have run out of licenses, you can extend your subscription or buy more licenses through the portal. </p> <p>Through My F-Secure, you can also share your licenses with other family members and friends by inviting them to your My F-Secure group. </p> </article> </main>
