Hello haggis, Our firewall doesn't have support for any variables like that. Only "variable" (if you will) we have is basically the "My network" which applies to the ruleset inside the current subnet range in a network where the workstation is connected to. Could you open up the use case a bit more though? I am not sure I got it correctly, but can't you just create the rule based on host initiating the connection (in other words: remote host)?

Hi martin86, The F-Secure Rescue CD boots straight off from the CD and loads a separate operating system. It's highly unlikely the problems you're experiencing are caused by malware. I would assume the problems are actually caused by faulty hardware. I suggest you to contact the place where you purchased your computer from.

Hello hilltopnet, In that case I would suggest you: 1) Download the latest installer from: http://www.f-secure.com/fi/web/home_fi/support/installers 2) Remove the current installation from control panel (F-Secure launch pad, please make sure you have the subscription number stored somewhere) 3) Reinstall the client using the latest installer (from the link above). This should fix the issue. Let me know if there's any problems.

hands-on, Thanks for the heads-up. However posting direct links to samples to our community is not that good idea (even if the files are clean). The link was removed by one of our moderators. The correct way to submit samples of any kind to us is through our Sample Analysis System, found at: https://analysis.f-secure.com/portal/login.html If the file size limitation is the reason you couldn't use SAS, there's an email address on the SAS page you can use to get more quota for your username for the system.

Hello sunsekr56, There's only a flyer shown briefly when the scheduled scanning is about to begin. Otherwise you can only tell that the scheduled scanning is running by either checking whether the fssms32.exe is using CPU more than normally, or by going to the windows task scheduler and checking whether the scheduled scanning task is running or not. When scanning the system through the user interface (or through windows' context menu) there's a flyer (with progress bar) shown during the whole scan.

Hello matu, EDIT: Quarantined messages are copied to the directory specified under Common settings -> Quarantine directory. The quarantined file is stored in a single file (row message, .eml format) The file in the quarantine directory contains headers + body (and any possible attachments). You can (re)send the file by issuing command: mail recipient_addresses < quarantined_file Where recipient_addresses is the intented recipient(s) email address(es) and quarantined_file is the name of the actual file. Quarantined files are stored by default to /var/tmp/quarantine

If you downloaded the file http://download.sp.f-secure.com/SE/Retail/installer/F-SecureNetworkInstaller.exe from the site, you can use it for clean installations as well. The installer will fetch all the necessary files straight from our servers during the installation.
