If you are using Windows 10 currently, make sure you are up to date with the latest version of windows 10 version.
As of this writing the current version of Windows 10 is call Windows 10 Fall Creators Update version 1709.

I have done this - now F Secure doesn't work - I turn it on, it says it is turned off. Restart several times, same thing.
I don;t mind upgrades, except when they stop my productivity and cost me time - the MS Creators update cost me an hour in a lost monitor, and so far, the same with F Secure - except after an hour, I am none the wiser that it will not turn on :/

This is only about "Community"-activities. And, mainly, based on replies-count (more replies -> changes with 'rank').
at least, I able to think that F-Secure did not track registered community users about their experience (by default).

Does your situation still about troublestate? If yes, maybe good to know more points:
--> F-Secure solution is F-Secure AV/IS/SAFE or F-Secure Freedome? Or something else?
With common advices: good to try reinstallation. But maybe available some direct tips for certain solution (for example, F-Secure Freedome);
--> Possible to use direct F-Secure Support channels (chat/phone):
It can be useful for 'support you' and 'investigate reasons for trouble';
With my own experience and two systems: F-Secure solutions (F-Secure SAFE mainly) normally works after Windows 10 upgrade. But it can be with limitations and exceptions (there was some topics with noted concern; and some of solutions with known potential troubles based on such setting with Windows upgrade).
