PSB portal change log

Hi,

we have just now published the first real batch of F-Secure Help content into PSB production portals. For now, for all users, we have the following walkthroughs and tips in our production servers (available in all languages):

• What’ New. Each time something real changes in the portal, we can inform customers through a popup that will be shown the first time they log in.
• Help Menu items. The help menu now contains three more items: What’s New, Search for Devices, and Software Updates.
• APNS guidance. Whenever you try to add a Freedome for Business subscription the first time, a popup will ask you whether you want to configure Aplle APNS certificate first.
• Hover-over help for searching for devices and device filters. These helps will appear when you hover over the device search and search filter fields on the Devices page.

Hello,

A new release is rolled out today with the following improvements:

• Resolved issue with channel upgrade starting one day too soon for some time zones
• Fixed misleading instructions regarding channel upgrade in Computer Protection migration dialogs
• Disabled profile assignment to Linux devices as they have never supported profile management 
• UI shows improved error page during maintenance breaks

A new release is rolled out today with the following improvements:

• Mac profile namagement for Computer Protection is now available
• Computer Protection migration is again improved and polished
  • success notification is shown only once and re-appears only if there is any change to the channel upgrade schedule
  • failure notification is no longer displayed to companies
• Link to Rapid Detection and Response portal is added to help menu
• Computer Protection profile categories work after saving profile

• Introduced the possibility of changing subscription of a Computer Protection computer to other subscription within the same company
• Predefined COSMOS profiles have working Allow SMB UDP/TCP rules now
• Disabled MSMI phone number registration causing phones to send SMSes to Finland.
• Introduced actions panel on device details view.
• Displaying amount of assigned computers on profiles list.
• Last login time in the UI
• Links to the privacy policy are localized
• PSB worksation for Mac installer download link is fixed
• CP Profile Editor - Update help text for setting 'Remotely managed proxy address'
• Fixed blacklisting feature for EDR subscriptions
• Fixes to prevent Internal Server Error occurring in Computer Protection profile management and download page, both preventing the normal usage of the functionalities.

Dear F-Secure PSB Developers,

I was browsing our F-Secure PSB EMEA "SoP" portal account today for new, reportable false virus alarm occurances among about 4100 endpoints total and noticed a website bug or feature regression:

The newly upgraded PSB portal appears to work errenously. When I click on the name-weblink of a malware incident computer in the Reports / Infections list (to see the exact OS version and F-Secure PSB version information details), then the display automatically jumps back to the PSB portal SoP main page.

Please check if this is a bug and provide a fix if necessary.

Hi,

new release is being rolled out to production with following new features:

• F-Secure Endpoint Proxy support for PSB: If a customer has a slow connection, the F-Secure Endpoint Proxy will significantly reduce the data transfer by caching the malware database updates. These customers should consider deploying a proxy before migrating to Computer Protection as it will reduce the load on the network. Note: In future, this proxy will be extended to also support Software updates
• Application Control (Premium): Support for monitored applications. An Application rule can now be set to allow and monitor. That is a great enhancement for admins who want to add a new rule in a live environment as it allows them to verify the impact of the rule, before deciding to block certain events. In addition, the application control rules can now be re-prioritized.
• Scheduled reporting: PSB portal can now distribute summary reports weekly or monthly. That feature is important for partners who want to keep their customers aware of the effectiveness of F-Secure Security
• Subscription reports: New export to CSV action added in partner subscriptions view: It is now possible for partners to get a report about all the subscriptions.
• Infection email format has been changed so that you can analyse the more easily programmically. All fields are now separated by '|' (pipe) character.
• Possible fix for the problem where some devices show "Overall protection and Firewall" columns empty in device tab and computer details view.

Hi,

a new release is being rolled out to production with following changes:

• A report of the last device scan is accessible in the device details page.
• Active Directory information in Device details view: Active Directory name, Organizational unit, Domain Components and GUID are visible in device details view.
• Browsing protection improvement:
  
  • Enforce SafeSearch mode:  Activate search result filter, i.e. make search engines use the SafeSearch strict level to hide adult content. In practice, it avoids that school kids see dubious site in search results from Google, Bing and Yahoo (big in Japan).
  • "Block Suspicious Sites" and "Block Prohibited Sites" are now manageable in Computer Protection profiles editor. "Block Prohibited Sites" blocks access to sites that contain suspicious content (for example the site may be a fake or known spam site). "Block Suspicious Sites" blocks access to sites that contain infringing or prohibited content (for example, the site contains illegal content).
• Fixed inability to remove a computer for which the first removal failed for some reason.
• Fixed the user settings editing to work correct in case email address was duplicate during the user migration to shared authentication service.
• Computer Protection profile migration raises firewall conflict in case there are allow and block rules with icmp protols and intersecting icmp ports.
