What is 'Safe Profile'?

I see on the Launch Pad there is a button for Safe Profile. It seem to be something solely to do with Facebook. I am sure I'm not the only one not to have a Facebook account, so I am curious as to what Safe Profile is all about, and why it needs a place on the Launch Pad when all it appears to be at the moment is a link to Facebook. Is this something that will develop more fully towards the launch of the finished 2014 product?

It is an application made for Facebook, it checks and tells you your privacy settings of Facebook(it's really hard to control them solely from FB)
