FS Protection PC Release 200

This release contains following applications that combined make the FS Protection PC product:

  • Common Component Framework 3.00.276
  • Antivirus 17.200.276
  • Browsing protection 2.200.6884

Removed products:

  • CCF Network (aka Mobile Broadband detection) is removed from the product.

Fixed issues:

Common:

  • Main UI might fail to open with Windows 7 when 16-bit colors and >= 200% scaling level is set (CTS-99806)

Antivirus:

  • Protection malfunction after installation (CTS-99890, SAFE_BUG-01929)
  • On access scanning reported off after TP198 → TP199 upgrade (CTS-99870)
  • Scheduled scan task is not removed at uninstall (CTS-99808, SAFE_BUG-01884)

Browsing Protection:

  • User can bypass "Allow and denied web sites" UAC (CTS-99856, SAFE_BUG-01916)

  • Edge browser erroneously detected as Firefox when used as default browser (CTS-99848)

  • Time Limits Malfunction when no Internet Connection (CTS-99630)

  • Time limits blockpage shows wrong time (CTS-99851)

  • Layout and time format improvements in Family rules view (CTS-99527)

  • Google Login with IE11 fails when Browsing Protection enabled (CTS-99833, SAFE_BUG-01905, fixed temporarily with TP197 IE extension)

  • IE11 page encoding broken when using Browsing Protection extension (CTS-99875, SAFE_BUG-01922, fixed temporarily with TP197 IE extension)

    Just curious, do/did we get the same new behaviour (DeepGuard) protection improvements?

     

     

    F-Secure’s new Protection Service for Business features upgraded behavior-based blocking for Windows and Macs to give companies the protection they need from modern threats.

    Sorry for my unofficial opinion:

     

    --> Probably, yes;

    And "DeepGuard" is one between "FS Protection" and "Computer Protection" (maybe with limitations/exceptions based on home/business differences);

    And, generally, "Computer Protection" most likely is something as branded/customized/changed latest FS Protection (with "Ultralight Core");

    Most likely -> this is called as "DeepGuard 6";

    So... "DeepGuard 6" added to FS Protection (Ultralight core) too; Not sure - if there is any other changes for business-solution!

     

    And... I not sure about "XFENCE" for FS Protection Mac platform;

    fs protection has had the new DeepGuard for over 6 months already, PSB is catching up. They do have slightly altered configuration better suitable for business environment, but it's the same base technology.

    a short one to say it works (as usual) like a charm with W 10 x64 insider 16299.0 and even Ffox  57.0 b3 Quantum x64  , same for bank protection.
