F-S permissions on Android

Just wondering again...

Is it android out of the box feature or F-S TP specific to have all these permissions listed?

If it is F-S and not android seems kinda  strange in view of various Freedome promotions which talk about privacy.

Luckily most of them are always ask, but does F-S really need them?

    I think it's a newish thing in Android where app permission are requested more openly, but I'm not sure why FS would require all those permissions, unless it's just so that protection can be activated on all of those components? I don't use FS on my phone, so that's just a stab in the dark.
