2012 beta tp41 upgrade issues

Since the recent upgrade which includes the hotfix regarding the x warning my system is not secure, I am still showing the beta is " upgrading" and has been like this for over 4 days.

I cannot access the FIS program to scan or change items, although it appears to be running in the background and ask permissions  for connectivity.

The virus definitions are also out of date according to the launch pad.

Ant one have any ideas?

    Thanks for the suggestion, but sadly having rebooted several times within the week it did make no difference.

     

    However....

     

    A system restore to prior to the update seems to have corrected the whole installation and it is running as good as ever now.

    Hi,

     

    would it accept the upgrade now? I wonder if this is an "upgrade" or "general" problem. You could also uninstall the old version and install the new, i.e. skip the upgrade process.
