Verizon home network protection blocking vpn

in F-Secure VPN

I started using Verizon FiOS home network protection recently. And soon as I turned it on my VPN on my phone stopped connecting.  I don't want to disable home network protection because I like the way it manages the rest of my network. Is there some way to bypass HNP or change its settings so that my VPN will connect?

    Thank you for reporting this issue, I found this Home Network Protection article and under Troubleshooting, expand the topic "Why does HNP sometimes allow access to malicious websites from my work laptop?" to see the information about HNP is not a compatible device with VPN.
