Tracking protection has stopped working after upgrading.

Hi,

I upgraded from Freedome-beta to the final version.
Now the tracking blocking has stopped working.
How can I fix this?

I have got this same problem on two different Mac OS X 10.9.5 computers.
I have bought a licens, but it didn´t help.

Thank you for the explanation Tehfcae.

 

I uninstalled Freedome from both computers.
And after reinstallation everything works fine.

How do you notice that the tracking protection as stopped working?

Could you check if the licence is effectively valid and active on your computers?

Hi,
I keep record of the tracking attempts count :)
And it stalled after I installed the final version.

Chrome plugins Ghostery and Disconnect are showing many trackings attempts coming through. Before it stalled, hardly anything showed.
License is ok, have 381 days left.

 

On the other mac, I have a trial of the final version.
And the tracking stopping count stalled ,when I installed the final version.
It too had a beta version before, which worked good.

Freedome's tracking blocker works differently than Disconnect and Ghostery.

 

Freedome blocks entire websites that are known tracking or malicous sites. 

 

Disconnect and ghostery block scripts within pages that report back to known trackong websites.

 

Basically ,Freedome prevents you from going to the tracking sites. Disconnect and Ghostery block the tracking sites from coming to you.
