My F-Secure FREEDOME promotional or subscription code does not work


When I enter a promotional or subscription code in the FREEDOME app, the app does not accept it.


As there are several types of promotional and purchasable subscription codes for F-Secure FREEDOME, there are a number of reasons why your code may not work. Here are the most common scenarios:
  • You already have a purchased FREEDOME subscription and you try to renew the subscription with a promotional code.
  • Your FREEDOME trial has come to an end and you try to extend the trial with a promotional code.
  • You have a promotional code for one device (one installation counts as one device), and you uninstall and reinstall FREEDOME.
  • The promotion has expired. Note: F-Secure FREEDOME promotions are time-limited, so they expire after a specified time period.
  • The promotional code is not legitimate; for example, an F-Secure FREEDOME promotional code found on Google is not legitimate.
  • You have a multi-platform subscription and all the licenses with that subscription are in use.


  1. When entering a code in FREEDOME, first check the following:
    1. Is your internet connection working?
    2. Did you enter the code correctly?
    3. Did you enter the code in the correct place in the app?
      • On Android, Windows and Mac: Subscription > Have a code?. In the Redeem code box, enter your code and select Submit.
      • On iOS: Did you already buy a multi-platform subscription? > Activate your account. In the Enter your FREEDOME account ID dialog, enter the code, then select Account ID.
  2. Check the type of code
    1. Contact the person or website that provided you with the code for more details.
    2. If you have received a legitimate promotional code and/or a valid subscription code that does not work, contact F-Secure Customer Support for assistance.
    3. If your subscription is a multi-device subscription, release a license by doing a license transfer.
    4. If you reinstall FREEDOME and get the following error message: Could not verify code, do the following:
      • Wait a while, then re-enter your valid multi-device subscription code.
      • When prompted, transfer a license.

    If you have checked all of these things and the code still does not work, contact F-Secure Customer Support.
